Manchester United are continuing to plan for the future despite edging closer to their first senior signing of the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils are expected to announce the signing of Atalanta midfielder Ederson after reaching an agreement with the Serie A side.
The Brazilian is now anticipated to undergo a medical ahead of his move to Old Trafford.
However, United’s recruitment team are also working behind the scenes on a number of younger targets.
According to Stretford Paddock on X, one player currently attracting interest from Manchester United is Tyrie Arojogun.
The report claims United are pursuing several of England’s most highly-rated prospects as they look to strengthen their academy ranks and long-term pipeline of talent.
The club have already made progress in another deal involving a promising youngster.
Manchester City talent David Eze recently visited Carrington alongside his representatives.
Expectations are growing that he could choose Manchester United despite receiving interest from several other Premier League clubs.
United have also been keen on Liverpool striker Vincent Joseph.
The forward’s future remains uncertain, with clubs from both England and mainland Europe monitoring his situation.
The report says that Joseph holds a German passport, which could make a move abroad a realistic possibility this summer.
As for Arojogun, the defender currently plays for Charlton Athletic and is viewed as one of several young players United are tracking ahead of the new season.
The teenager is joined on the club’s shortlist by Derby County’s Blake Henry and Liverpool’s Isaac Konde, highlighting the breadth of United’s scouting operation across the country’s leading academies.
United’s intention is reportedly to be aggressive in the youth market this summer, identifying top talents before they become established first-team players elsewhere.
While much of the focus remains on senior additions ahead of the 2026/27 campaign, the pursuit of players such as Tyrie Arojogun demonstrates that the club are also planning for the years ahead.
