Perhaps not since Fabinho has the time between the news of Liverpool transfer interest emerging into the public realm and the deal being officially confirmed been so small.
Hijacking Newcastle's move for Victor Munoz, Liverpool activated the 22-year-old's $46 million (£35 million) release clause and after he successfully underwent a medical examination, that deal has gone through.
More work, though, will be required across the rest of the summer, hence why moving early was important. More additions in wide areas are needed, and there are other holes that could emerge too.
In goal, talk of Alisson Becker leaving has cooled, leaving him and Giorgi Mamardashvili as the two main options in that department.
And though Ibrahima Konate's move to Real Madrid was officially confirmed earlier, Liverpool completed the deal for Jeremy Jacquet back in the winter window.
The young Frenchman will arrive this summer for a fee that could reach $83 million (£60 million). Alongside Giovanni Leoni, the expectation there is that the Reds have snapped up two of the very best around, though adding another senior option may be a good idea.
Kostas Tsimikas will return from his loan spell with AS Roma and Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong and Conor Bradley are all full-back options as well.
In midfield, Ryan Gravenberch recently signed a new deal and Dominik Szoboszlai was the best player in a Liverpool jersey over the previous disappointing season.

Curtis Jones has interest from Inter Milan, while Alexis Mac Allister struggled last season, and no contract talks have been held with the Argentine, who will be approaching 30 by the time his current deal expires.
In attack, the group of wingers has been bolstered by Munoz. Cody Gakpo and Rio Ngumoha are there, while Federico Chiesa could move on and Mohamed Salah already has.
Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike are the other main options, though the latter is going to be sidelined for a long time yet with an Achilles injury.
Playing Andoni Iraola's favored system of 4-2-3-1, Liverpool could have Alisson in goal, with Bradley (once fit), Jacquet, Virgil van Dijk and Kerkez lining up across the back four.

Liverpool FC have launched their new home kit for the 2026/27, inspired by iconic adidas strip worn during the club's 1989/90 title-winning campaign.
Gravenberch and Szoboszlai could hold the midfield — though someone like Ayyoub Bouaddi has been suggested as a possible target this week after he starred for Morocco — with Munoz, Wirtz and Isak in the forward line.

Another winger could complete the starting XI, with talks having been held with RB Leipzig for Yan Diomande and Liverpool willing to offer a package worth around €100 million ($115 million/£85 million) for the 19-year-old.
Depending on outgoings, there may be a need for more signings on top of the positions mentioned. Right-back, depending on Bradley's injury status and the early assessment of Frimpong, may also be required.
Iraola has inherited some quality options, however. When he has a few more of them, and the roster is filled out a little, some substantial improvement on last term should be within reach.
