The NFL has learned of some rather shocking news regarding one of the best players in the game. Apparently, the age of one of their superstars has been wrong ever since he entered the league. The NFL is one of the biggest organizations in the world and the age of each of their players is one of the more important factors when it comes to how long they will play.

Sauce Gardner Says NFL Has Had His Age Wrong
It is not unusual for Sauce Gardner to play lockdown defense. However, five years into his professional career, the Indianapolis Colts cornerback did not anticipate having to defend his age.
Gardner was born on August 31, 2001, a date he swears is on all of his official documents since he was drafted by the New York Jets and ultimately traded to the Indianapolis Colts. He claims that his driver’s license provides proof of his age. The Colts also confirmed that his passport does as well.
The kicker? In accordance with ESPN.com, Gardner was born on August 31, 2000, a year earlier than his passport indicates. He is also listed as having been born in 2000 on Pro Football Reference, widely considered to be one of the most reputable websites in professional sports research. The Athletic’s 2022 NFL Draft guide did the same.
The Madden NFL game developed by EA Sports also lists Gardner’s birthday as August 31, 2000.
“It’s wrong in Madden, too? That’s crazy because I never checked,” Gardner said after he was notified. “Because when it comes to the paperwork and everything I’ve signed, it all says ’01. So, I don’t know where or how it got messed up unless people just get it straight from Google.”
