Mike McGlinchey signed in 2023 to play for the Denver Broncos, and what he quickly found out is that his new bosses really cared.
The veteran right tackle talked about the Walton-Penner Family Ownership Group on Wednesday and their commitment to building a winner.
“I think the group has proven that they are at the top of what it means to be an owner in all of professional sports, not just ours,” McGlinchey said. “The investment that they have in their players and the way that they have listened to the staff and the humility that they have to ask the head coach, to ask the director of performance or ask whoever, ‘How we can get this better? What do you guys need?'”

McGlinchey, 31, pointed to the new facilities rising behind the team’s practice fields as proof the ownership group means business.
“There is a monument behind you guys that kind of proves that,” he said. “New toys are always fun. They’ve been fun since you were 2 years old and they are still fun when you are 31.”
The 2018 first-round pick capped his remarks with a nod to Carrie Walton Penner and Greg Penner.
“I’m excited to see what it’s like and really thankful to be playing here in Denver and playing for Carrie and Greg,” McGlinchey said. “They treat us so well and we are very lucky to be playing for them.”
