Rams Starter Learns Fate Of Felony Charge
In connection with his arrest on suspicion of domestic battery at his San Fernando Valley home earlier this month, Los Angeles Rams offensive lineman Alaric Jackson will not face felony charges, according to NBC4.
A misdemeanor charge has been referred to the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. According to the city attorney’s office, the case is being reviewed.
A police officer was called to the home of the six-foot-seven, 338-pound offensive lineman at around 11 pm on June 9th. Jackson and a woman were involved in a verbal argument when the police arrived.
Jackson attempted to remove the phone from the woman’s hand when he believed she was recording him, according to NBC4. There were scratch marks on the arms of the woman, according to investigators. Following Jackson’s arrest, he was released on $50,000 bail.
“We are aware of the incident regarding Alaric Jackson, and we take these matters very seriously,” the Rams told the Associated Press in a statement. “Due to this being an ongoing legal situation, we cannot comment further at this time.”
