Griffin Wilde looks forward to solid senior season at Northwestern and hopefully the NFL

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -Former Jefferson Cavalier and SDSU Jackrabbit standout Griffin Wilde has spent his last 2 days working with kids at a Wide Receiver camp in Sioux Falls.

He’s also getting ready for his final season at Northwestern in the Big Ten after an impressive 2 years with South Dakota State that prompted schools at the highest level to come calling. And another solid season could mean watching Griffin playing on Sundays. That’s certainly a realistic goal.

Griffin Wilde, Northwestern WR says, “Yeah since I was at this camp as a little kid I wanted to be in the NFL. So I think it’s definitely a realistic goal. I just have to keep my head down, keep working, put together a really good season and go from there and see what happens.”

As a true freshman at SDSU he got to play right away even though the Janke’s were still there. In his 2 years in Brookings he caught passes for over 1,500 yards with 18 TD’s.

And that was after 2,000 yards and 22 touchdowns at Jefferson. He had a solid junior season at Northwestern and with Chip Kelly as the new Offensive Coordinator things are looking good for Wilde in Chicago this fall... Where they host the Jackrabbits as well.
