All eyes are on the World Cup at the moment, but the new Premier League season is already right around the corner. There are just nine weeks until the 2026/27 campaign gets underway, with Arsenal going in as defending champions for the first time in over two decades.
The likes of Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United will be hoping to knock the Gunners off their perch, while promoted teams Coventry City, Ipswich Town and Hull City will simply be looking to ensure top-flight survival. The season will start a week later than usual on August 22, with the first match taking place 33 days after the World Cup finishes. The final day of the campaign, meanwhile, is set for May 30.
