Just weeks on from the conclusion of one season, attentions are already turning to a new campaign with the release of the new Premier League fixtures for the 2026-27 campaign. Arsenal will head into the new term as champions, having ended their 22-year wait to return to the pinnacle of English football - but who will they face first?

The new season brings a host of new faces in dugouts across the country. Pep Guardiola has left Manchester City after a decade, and will be replaced by Enzo Maresca, while Xabi Alonso is set to take charge at Chelsea and Andoni Iraola has landed the Liverpool job. Fulham are also searching for a new manager, and Crystal Palace have waved goodbye to Oliver Glasner.

With Arsenal top of the tree, and a number clubs facing huge changes, this season is one of the more unpredictable in recent memory. Throw in Coventry City’s return after 25 years, helmed by manager Frank Lampard, it is primed to be another enthralling and intriguing 10 months of Premier League action. When does the Premier League start?

The first match is currently pencilled in for Saturday, August 22, a week later than usual due to the 2026 World Cup.

However, Friday night curtain-raisers are becoming more common and the opening game is expected to take place the day before, on August 21.

Over the Christmas period, no clubs will play more than once within a period of 60 hours, and there will be no Christmas Eve fixture.

The final round of games is scheduled for Sunday, May 30, 2027.

When are the Premier League fixtures released?

The official reveal for the 380 matches is set for 10am BST.

It is a later time than usual, with 9am the traditional publication time.
