**Liverpool are set to be very active this summer, according to the reliable Fabrizio Romano, as FSG get to work building the best squad to set Andoni Iraola up for success at Anfield.**
The Reds have kick-started their summer transfer business with a quiet but quick deal to sign Osasuna forward Victor Munoz. The electric 22-year-old arrives at Anfield after the 2026 World Cup, where he is representing Spain after a fantastic season with the La Liga outfit. Munoz will get a break before joining the squad along with the rest of Liverpool’s World Cup participants.
While he only contributed seven goals and five assists, the data gurus in Liverpool’s recruitment team have identified him as the perfect fit for Iraola’s all-action style of play. He’s as much one for the future as he will be a player to make an impact in his debut season.
Liverpool won’t stop there, of course, as plans continue to make further signings amid [news of a rejected bid for RB Leipzig star Yan Diomande](https://live4liverpool.com/liverpool-have-e100m-bid-rejected-for-yan-diomande-could-get-deal-done-at-e120m/).
Liverpool gearing up to complete more signings after announcing Victor Munoz
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Liverpool announced they had signed Munoz on Thursday evening, with Fabrizio Romano sharing further info on the club’s next steps in the transfer window.
Romano said: **“**_Many Liverpool fans have been asking me \[after agreeing the deal for Munoz\] if this means it’s closing doors to signing another winger – my answer is no… They are working behind the scenes to add at least one more winger to the squad.”_
He continued: _“The idea of Liverpool is to add one more winger to the squad. I expect Liverpool to be busy with midfielders, but I expect Liverpool to add one more winger.”_
Liverpool acting decisively in the market
-----------------------------------------
After a season in which criticism of Liverpool’s leadership was valid, it’s encouraging to see FSG acting with more decisiveness than they did regarding Arne Slot. The Dutchman was sacked at the end of the season, when it’s arguable that they should have released him earlier.
All that said, Liverpool have also made their first bid for Diomande, who is set to be Mohamed Salah’s replacement.
