Everton will kick-start the 2026/27 season by hosting Crystal Palace at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on August 22nd.
The Premier League side will start the preparation for the new season in July.
David Moyes would also hope for a few new signings to start the pre-season with Everton.
Earlier this week, the Merseyside club announced their schedule for pre-season. They will face three English clubs, Dundee United and VfB Stuttgart this summer.
As well as those five matches, the Toffees have scheduled another fixture on August 1st.
Everton friendlies unique
That’s according to Friday’s edition of Bild, who provides details and explains why these matches are unique.
Prior to the fixture against VfB Stuttgart in Germany on August 8th, Everton have another opposition from the same country.
Earlier this month, Sport Witness relayed news the Toffees’ delegation visited Hamburg SV earlier this year. That meeting has paid off as the English club face them at Volksparkstadion, the Bundesliga side’s home stadium.
David Moyes’ side will play a friendly against Hamburg, and this clash will take place right after Everton Women face Hamburg Women.
The double-header involving both men and women’s teams in one day ‘has never been seen before at the Volksparkstadion’.
These two matches will be part of the annual ‘Volkspark Festival’, where there will be several events in and around the German club’s stadium.
Bild points out Everton have never faced Hamburg before.
The Toffees finished 13th in the Premier League and Hamburg also finished 13th [18 teams in the Bundesliga].
