“Anytime he’s healthy he’s a top-three quarterback, I don’t care what anybody says,” Garrett told Moss on Chasing 10. “He’s a problem. He’s got more legs than what anybody thinks, he ain’t scared of no contact, he’s gonna try to make the play at any time, and he can make any throw.”
The Bengals’ front office clearly got the message because it responded with what was easily the most impressive offseason in franchise history. The Bengals went out and made several key free agency signings with the additions of players like Bryan Cook and Boye Mafe. This team has been known to shop in the bargain bin during free agency, but the franchise opened up its checkbook this year.
Burrow has really liked what he’s seen from the team this offseason, and he even handed out some individual praise. One guy he raved about on Wednesday was wide receiver Andrei Iosivas. The veteran quarterback emphasized that Iosivas has looked great this offseason, explaining that the receiver is big, fast, strong, catching a lot of passes, and playing with confidence.
Urgency was definitely the theme. Not only did he throw for an extended session yesterday, he also did that today, despite the team cutting things short. Inside that quarterback, there’s definitely a sense of urgency, because he feels that this team can go out and compete for a championship.
“Just continue to do it. Really, from midseason last year on,” Golden said. “He just made the game really small. \[He\] wasn’t ping-ponging in presnap; he knew exactly where his technique was, where he needed to be, he executed at a really high level in the plays that came.”
One name, who has surprisingly not been linked too heavily with the Bengals is Germaine Pratt, who left Cincinnati in 2025 to join the Las Vegas Raiders, and then, last season, the Indianapolis Colts.
