Arsenal will kick off their defence of the Premier League title against newly-promoted Coventry City on Friday August 21 at the Emirates.

Mikel Arteta's side will welcome Frank Lampard's Sky Blues to north London for a standalone season opener before the rest of the first weekend's fixtures are played over Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

The Gunners then travel to Aston Villa before a London derby against Chelsea at the Emirates.

Arsenal are scheduled to travel to Anfield on October 31 before a home clash with last season's nearest challengers Manchester City on November 28.

The first North London derby of the season will take place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on December 5 before a festive clash with Manchester United six days before Christmas.

Tottenham travel to the Emirates for the return fixture on May 1. All dates after the opening day of the season could change due to television selections.

The Gunners will start the 2026-27 campaign as defending champions after ending a run of three successive second-place finishes by lifting the trophy in May. Arteta's side topped the table by seven points in 2025-26, with their rock-solid defence by far the best in the division.

The signings of Viktor Gyokeres, Martin Zubimendi, Eberechi Eze, Noni Madueke, Cristhian Mosquera and Piero Hincapie last summer made a difference and Arsenal will be busy again this summer. Arteta wants to sign a new left winger as a priority and sporting director Andrea Berta is working hard to bolster their squad once again.

Gyokeres finished with 14 league goals in his debut season after joining from Sporting Lisbon, double the next best pair of Eze and Bukayo Saka, who got seven each. Goals and assists came from right the way across the pitch, with set pieces a particularly fruitful route, accounting for 25 of their 71 strikes.

While trying to defend their Premier League title from the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United, the Gunners will also want to go one better in the Champions League. Arteta's side were beaten on penalties by Paris Saint-Germain in the final after a 1-1 draw on May 30.
