Cooper DeJean has quickly established himself as a key part of the Philadelphia Eagles since entering the NFL. The team drafted him at No. 40 in 2024, and he helped them win the Super Bowl that same season. The cornerback intercepted a pass and returned it for a38-yard pick-sixin the big game.
He played abigger role last season. DeJean started all 16 regular-season games he appeared in, recording 93 combined tackles, including 64 solo efforts. The 23-year-old added four tackles for loss, 16 passes deflected and two interceptions.
DeJean will likely remain the franchise’s top CB for years to come, and the team will rely heavily on him for his elite coverage. He’ll also aim to add to the one NFC Defensive Player of the Week honor he earned last year.

Eagles star Cooper DeJean’s Podcast Releases First Episode of Second Season
Apart from showcasing his on-field skill set, DeJean is also a successful podcaster. “Exciting Mics” has been renewed for its second season, and the Iowa product announced on Thursday that Episode 1 was already released.
“Exciting Mics is BACK with Season 2 🤩 New episode OUT NOW wherever you get your podcasts 🍿,” DeJean announced in a joint Instagram post with his podcast.
“Exciting Mics” is a weekly sports and lifestyle show that offers fans an unfiltered look into the NFL. DeJean co-hosts this highly popular podcast with his now-former Eagles teammate, Reed Blankenship, who is now with the Houston Texans. The show’s topics range from football analysis to banter about food and fashion.
DeJean and Blankenship launched the podcast on May 15, 2025. Since then, it has been a huge hit, with fans and current and former players consistently tuning in.
Season 1 featured appearances from NFL teammates, coaches and celebrity guests. More of the same is expected in Season 2, along with new segments that will keep fans entertained. However, they expect their stories about their football journeys and lessons learned to remain their central storyline.
