Club Brugge star Nicolò Tresoldi has addressed growing transfer speculation linking him with Arsenal, acknowledging the rumours surrounding a potential move to the Emirates Stadium while admitting he would be open to taking the next step in his career.
The 21-year-old forward, who has attracted attention from several European clubs following his breakthrough performances, is reported to be on Arsenal ’s scouting list as the Premier League side continues to monitor emerging attacking talent ahead of the summer transfer window.
Tresoldi, speaking in comments reported by European media, said he is aware of the interest but remains focused on his current development, while not ruling out a future move to a higher-profile league should the opportunity arise
When asked by Sport Bild about any Arsenal interest, Tresoldi laughed: “I don’t know if that’s true. “But it’s nice to be linked with such clubs. It’s an honour for me, and it shows I’m on the right path.
“I want to keep working hard and win trophies. As for my future, I’m very relaxed.”
“Of course, but I also enjoy being abroad. After all, I was born and raised in Italy. I moved to Hannover at 13 and now I’m in Belgium.
“I like travelling and playing in different countries, so I can imagine anything and I’m open to everything. But right now, I’m happy in Brugge.”
Arsenal’s recruitment strategy under Mikel Arteta has placed strong emphasis on identifying young, high-upside players capable of developing within a structured tactical system. The club has previously targeted emerging talents across Europe as part of a long-term squad-building approach.
While Tresoldi is not believed to be among Arsenal’s primary summer targets at this stage, his name has reportedly been discussed internally as part of a wider database of forwards being tracked by the club’s recruitment department.
Arsenal are expected to assess multiple attacking options this summer as they look to add depth and competition in forward positions ahead of another demanding campaign across domestic and European competitions.
Tresoldi, however, remains under contract at his current club, which is expected to continue playing a key role in his development. Officials are understood to be keen to retain him unless a significant offer is received
