Former Arsenal captain William Gallas has suggested that Bradley Barcola would make a “huge impact” at Arsenal if the Paris Saint-Germain winger were to complete a move to north London.
Gallas’ comments come amid ongoing transfer speculation linking Arsenal with wide attacking reinforcements as the club continues to assess options to strengthen its front line ahead of the new season.
Barcola, 23, has developed into one of Europe’s most promising young wingers following his rise through French football and subsequent move to Paris Saint-Germain. Known for his pace, direct dribbling and ability to operate across the front line, he has earned a growing reputation as a dynamic attacking threat capable of unlocking compact defences.
Although he remains an important part of PSG’s squad, the winger has been the subject of increased transfer attention from several European clubs monitoring his development.
Arsenal are understood to be among those keeping close tabs on his situation, as the Premier League side explores options to add more depth and versatility in wide attacking areas.
Gallas believes Barcola’s skill set would translate effectively to the Premier League, pointing to his ability to take on defenders in one-on-one situations and stretch opposition back lines.
Speaking to talkSportBET, he said: “With Bradley Barcola’s ability, I think he could go to Liverpool, Arsenal, or elsewhere in the Premier League. That won’t be a problem.
“But he needs to find the right club that suits his style and gives him the opportunity to show his quality. It depends on how Liverpool is going to play and what their style will be.
“We know Arsenal’s style already, but for Liverpool, it might be different under a new manager. But Barcola would have a huge impact at both.”
Barcola’s profile is seen as fitting that model, with his ability to play on either wing offering flexibility in Arsenal’s forward rotation. However, any potential move would likely depend on PSG’s willingness to negotiate, with the French champions traditionally reluctant to part with emerging talents unless a significant offer is received.
PSG are also expected to continue shaping their squad following recent transitions, meaning Barcola’s role could remain an important part of their long-term planning. The player is under contract and has not publicly indicated any desire to leave the club.
