Green Bay Packers announce important training camp dates

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - The Green Bay Packers announced the 2026 training camp will kick off on July 29.

All practices will be held on Ray Nitschke Field starting at 10:30 a.m., as long as the weather is good. Times are subject to change.

Training camp is a Packers tradition, started by Coach Earl “Curly” Lambeau in 1946.

The practices also continue a tradition of kids offering their bikes for players to ride to the practice field on the other side of Oneida Street. Kids are invited to bring their bikes each day of public practice for the American Family Insurance DreamDrive.

### July 29-31

Packers rookies and injured players report on Monday, July 27, the same day as the team’s annual shareholders meeting. Veteran players report on Tuesday, July 28.

The Packers will hold three consecutive public practices Wednesday, July 29, through Friday, July 31.

### August 2-4

After players get a break on Saturday, there will be three more public practices Sunday, August 2, through Tuesday, August 4.

### August 7

Those practices are shortly before Family Night presented by UW Health Kids on Friday, Aug. 7. That annual preseason scrimmage is held inside Lambeau Field and features family-friendly activities on and off the field and is followed by fireworks.

### August 10-11

The Packers practice two more times on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 10 and 11 before their first preseason game, which is on the road against Pittsburgh on Thursday, Aug. 13.

### August 16 and 18

Public practices continue on Sunday, Aug. 16, and again Tuesday, Aug. 18. The Packers take to the road again to face the Denver Broncos on Friday, Aug. 21.

### August 24 and 26

After the game, as the preseason nears an end, there will be two final public practices, on Monday, Aug. 24, and when the Packers are joined by the Arizona Cardinals on the practice field on Wednesday, Aug. 26.

The Packers host the Cardinals at Lambeau Field for the final preseason game on Friday, Aug. 28. After that, practices are closed to the public.

The training camp tradition started in 1946 with head coach Earl “Curly” Lambeau. This season marks the Packers’ 81st training camp.

The week before training camp, Lambeau Field hosts a 1K Kid Run for kids 10 and under on Friday, July 24, at 6 p.m.

This is a to the Packers 5K Run/Walk, presented by UW Health, at 8 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, at Lambeau Field.
