Eduardo Camavinga has emerged as a player of interest for Manchester United this summer.
The club have been continuing to plan for a significant midfield rebuild ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The Red Devils are expected to recruit multiple midfielders during the current transfer window, with Casemiro’s departure set to leave a major gap in the squad.
An agreement has already been reached with Atalanta for Ederson.
The 26-year-old is expected to become the club’s first midfield signing of the summer.
Earlier this year, we covered reports that Real Madrid have placed an approximate €60 million valuation on Camavinga amid interest from United.
Now, journalist Miguel Serrano has provided a fresh update on his situation via his YouTube channel Latigo Serrano.
According to Serrano, Camavinga’s current priority is to remain at Real Madrid despite attracting interest from clubs elsewhere.
However, the report adds that the France international would be open to playing in the Premier League should the right opportunity arise in the future.
The update suggests there is no immediate desire from the player to force an exit from the Spanish giants, where he remains an important member of Jose Mourinho’s squad.
Why Manchester United are monitoring Camavinga
Since joining Real Madrid from Rennes in 2021, Eduardo Camavinga has developed into one of Europe’s most highly regarded midfielders.
His ability to operate in several positions has made him a valuable option, whether in central midfield, as a defensive midfielder or even at left-back.
For Manchester United, the attraction is obvious.
The club are preparing for a season that includes Champions League football following their return to Europe’s premier competition.
That means additional quality and depth will be required.
Camavinga’s energy, technical ability and versatility would fit the profile of midfielder United are looking to add as they reshape their squad ahead of the new campaign.
A move would still be difficult to complete given Real Madrid’s stance and the player’s preference to stay, but the fact he would be open to a Premier League switch may offer encouragement to interested clubs.
Whether Manchester United decide to pursue the situation further remains to be seen as the summer transfer window progresses.
