Barcelona are being linked with an €8 million transfer for Racing Santander center-back Jorge Salinas.
Multiple reports claim that Barcelona are hoping to sign the 19-year-old defender this summer in a low-cost deal. Salinas is believed to be keen on the move to Camp Nou but a deal has not been completed yet.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Salinas could agree the transfer and then spend next season back at Racing. He’s caught the eye after an impressive campaign for the club where he shone at left-back.
Salinas is contracted to Racing until 2029 and speculation has raged about his actual release clause, with some reports claiming it will rise to €16m after the end of the month.
Racing won promotion back to La Liga last season after a 14-year wait thanks to an impressive campaign that saw the team finish top of the pile, five points clear of Deportivo La Coruna.
