Liverpool have been active in the transfer window, confirming their second signing of the summer with the arrival of Victor Munoz. The Reds have triggered the 22-year-old Spaniard’s release clause to secure his move.

Munoz joins Jeremy Jacquet as part of Andoni Iraola’s squad rebuild, with Liverpool now turning attention to further attacking reinforcements.

An offer has reportedly been made for Yan Diomande, with the Ivory Coast winger valued at around €120million (£104m) and seen as a key target.

Elsewhere, Leeds United are working on potential free transfers for Julian Brandt and former Liverpool forward Harry Wilson, according to Sky Sports News. Daniel Farke’s side face strong competition for both players, although there is optimism they could secure both deals.

Leeds are exploring moves for both Brandt and Wilson, who will become free agents on July 1. Brandt is set to leave Borussia Dortmund after seven years at the club. The Germany international scored 11 goals and registered four assists last season.

Leeds also retain a long-term interest in Wilson. The 29-year-old enjoyed a standout Premier League campaign, scoring 10 goals and providing seven assists, mainly from the right wing.

Aston Villa and Everton are among the clubs also tracking him, along with interest from several European sides. The former Liverpool winger came close to joining Leeds United last summer, with the club even preparing a private jet to fly him to Yorkshire on Deadline Day.

Leeds met Fulham’s asking price, but the deal collapsed after Fulham failed to secure Chelsea forward Tyrique George as a replacement.

The Whites had also submitted an improved offer after Fulham sought to renegotiate terms, and a deal sheet was reportedly agreed between all parties.

However, just minutes before the 7pm deadline, Fulham pulled the plug on the transfer, insisting they would only sanction Wilson’s exit once a replacement was in place. Leeds will hope to be better positioned this time around in their pursuit of the Wales international.

Harry Wilson spent almost 16 years at Liverpool, progressing through the academy before making his senior debuts for club and country.

He represented Wales at the age of 16 in 2013 and later captained Liverpool’s U23 side, earning recognition for his technique, finishing and long-range shooting.

His first-team debut for Liverpool came as a substitute in an FA Cup tie against Plymouth Argyle in January 2017, followed by a series of loan spells to gain experience.

Wilson impressed during stints with Hull City and Derby County, scoring 23 Championship goals combined, before spending the 2019-20 season with Bournemouth in the Premier League.

After returning to Liverpool, he made his second senior appearance under Jurgen Klopp, starting in a League Cup clash against Arsenal in October 2020, before heading out on loan again to Cardiff City, where he added seven more goals in the Championship. He eventually left Anfield permanently in the summer of 2021, joining Fulham.
