Liverpool have wasted little time in the 2026 summer transfer window as Andoni Iraola begins reshaping his squad ahead of the new season.
Replacing Mohamed Salah remains one of the head coach’s biggest priorities. The Reds have already moved to strengthen their attack by signing Victor Munoz from Osasuna after activating his £34.6million release clause.
The 22-year-old has signed a six-year contract at Anfield.Liverpool also retain a strong interest in RB Leipzig forward Yan Diomande.
Although an opening bid was rejected, the Ivory Coast international remains a key target.Meanwhile, Real Madrid have completed the signing of Ibrahima Konate following his departure from Liverpool at the end of his contract.
Andy Robertson has also secured a move away from Anfield this summer.Elsewhere, former Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno is set to become a free agent after leaving Como, with the Spaniard keen on a return to La Liga, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Moreno joined Como in the summer of 2024 as a free agent, signing a one-year contract with an option to extend for a further season if certain conditions are met.
A product of the Sevilla academy, Moreno won the Europa League in 2024 after earlier spells at Liverpool and Villarreal, where he also lifted European silverware.
Moreno spent five years at Liverpool after arriving from Sevilla in 2014, making an immediate impact with a memorable solo goal against Tottenham Hotspur.
He went on to make 91 appearances in his first two seasons as the club transitioned from Brendan Rodgers to Jurgen Klopp.
He was part of the squad that reached the 2016 Europa League final and later played a role in Liverpool’s return to the Champions League and their 2019 European success, though competition from Andy Robertson eventually limited his minutes.
After contributing to a club-record Premier League points tally and Champions League triumph, Moreno left Liverpool at the end of his contract in 2019.
