He noted that not only are NFL players being charged for their tickets, but they are even paying higher prices for games played in their very own stadium.

During an appearance on the Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams on June 18, Curl was asked whether he planned to attend any World Cup matches at SoFi Stadium, one of the marquee venues for the 2026 tournament. His answer was immediate.
“It’s crazy, y’all at our stadium”

The comment quickly gained traction online, highlighting just how expensive the World Cup experience has become.
SoFi Stadium, temporarily renamed Los Angeles Stadium for the tournament, is hosting eight matches, including five group-stage games, two Round of 32 fixtures, and a quarterfinal.
Despite signing a three-year deal worth up to $39M with the Rams, Curl made it clear that paying full price is enough to keep him at home.
The numbers explain why. Resale prices for the United States’ opening match against Paraguay reportedly started at more than $1,100, while Mexico’s clash with South Africa carried entry prices approaching $4,000. Upcoming matches in Los Angeles have followed a similar trend, with Belgium versus Iran listed near the $1,000 mark and Team USA’s group-stage game against Turkey crossing the $2,000 threshold on secondary markets.
But that is not all the expense. Parking at the site has allegedly cost between $75 and $300 per match. Curl’s frustration is echoed by the broader concern about the event. The organizers of the FIFA World Cup have been criticized for their ever-increasing ticket prices, which have made tickets unaffordable for local fans.
As far as Curl is concerned, he will enjoy the competition from his couch the same way as millions of other fans.
