The wife of Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix has revealed what she forced her husband to do during his injury rehabilitation. Izzy Nix shared the playful detail on Instagram after her husband met with the media on Tuesday. His appearance came at the start of the team’s three-day mandatory minicamp.
The third-year signal-caller told reporters that he welcomed all the attention about his ongoing ankle recovery.
“Nobody’s really ever cared about me this extensively for a long time, so I don’t think it’s a bad thing,” Bo said.
The quarterback also brushed asidesocial media rumors that his injury had healed incorrectly. He then shared a story about an encounter with young fans at a local playground.
“You know, I got little kids at the park asking me if my legs are crooked and all,” Bo said. “And I just, you know, I asked him, I said, ‘Does it look like my ankles are crooked?’ And he sort of gave me a good no, but thank God he didn’t say yes, you know. I’ve been here before.”

Bo Nix’s Wife Reveals What She Made the Broncos QB Do During Injury Recovery
On Wednesday, Izzy shared a clip from herhusband’s interview on herInstagram story. She revealed the backstory behind the playground visit and what she made the quarterback do during his rehabilitation.
“Can confirm I forced Bo to go to the park on the scooter… the kids were awesome 😆,” she wrote.
Four weeks after suffering a season-ending injury, Izzyshared a video of Bo riding a medical knee scooter to grab mail. She captioned the video “perks of the scooter 😊.”
Prior to sharing the clip, she posted a photo of get-well cards left in their mailbox from neighborhood kids.
Bo broke his ankle during Denver’s AFC Divisional Round playoff victory over the Buffalo Bills in January. Doctors initially expected the quarterback to return in time for organized team activities, which began earlier this month. However, a clean-up surgery in April altered that timeline.
Media members saw Bo practice on Tuesday for the first time this spring. He completed individual throwing drills butsat out full team drills. Hereportedly delivered a sharp pass to wide receiver Courtland Sutton.
Feeling good about his recovery, Nix said he was fully ready to participate if the coaches allowed it.
“I feel great,” he stated. “I’m going to be strong. I’m going to be fast, elusive. Everything that I’ve done in the past, I’m going to be able to do again.”
Bo downplayed the injury, noting that bone fractures are common in football. He also quipped that after doctors declared him healed, his only concern was that he might run and move better than before.
“I mean, it’s a broken bone, for crying out loud,” he said. “Everybody probably here has had an issue with a broken bone, but yeah, I could go full go right now if they wanted me to.”
“They say it’s, you know, back healthy as good as new, and I haven’t really been like that in a couple years,” he continued with a smirk. “So, my concern is I may be moving around a little bit better.”
Bo Nix has now returned to the field. Broncos head coach Sean Payton said the starting quarterbackremains on track to return well before training camp in July. Nix echoed that optimism, saying nothing is standing in the way of his comeback.
