Andoni Iraola is on the offensive when it comes to securing new signings in his first transfer window at Liverpool. The Spaniard has been at the club for less than three weeks but has already clinched a new arrival with Victor Munoz set to join the Reds.
The Premier League side announced the signing of the Spain international on Thursday after the club triggered his £34.6million release clause to prise him away from Osasuna. With one target crossed off the list, Iraola and the Reds' hierarchy are on a mission to deliver his next signing as he bids to deliver trophies back to Merseyside.
Jurgen Klopp target reignited
Liverpool's midfield this season was a major factor in their dramatic fall in form with Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister in particular failing to perform to the levels they'd shown the previous campaign.
According to the Italian publication Corriere Dello Sport, the Reds are interested in signing Juventus midfielder Khephren Thuram. The 25-year-old is certainly known to Liverpool fans given he's previously been a reported target of Jurgen Klopp during his time at Ligue 1 side Nice.
The France international has been a key player for the Italian giants in his two years at the club but missed out on Didier Deschamps' World Cup 2026 squad this month. Standing at 6'4, Thuram's physicality and ability to cover both sides of the ball could be a valuable asset.
With Iraola set to introduce his fast-paced and high pressing style of play at Anfield, much more energy and athleticism will be needed in the middle of the park to give the Spaniard's philosophy any chance of success.

Inter Milan's interest in Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones goes back to January and the Serie A champions have revisited a move for the 25-year-old this summer. Sport Witness previously reported that the Reds' sporting director Richard Hughes met Inter counterpart Piero Ausilio to discuss a deal for Jones.
They add that both sides have not agreed on his valuation, with Inter putting forward a £17m bid and Liverpool setting a £26m price tag on their academy graduate. The figure hasn't put off Inter, with Gazzetta dello Sport claiming once they wrap a deal for Atalanta star Marco Palestra, they'll target Jones but want him to join before their pre-season training commences on July 16.
