92% passing: Arsenal given incentive to sign £52m French midfielder, club prepared to sell -…

Arsenal have been handed an incentive to sign Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga during the summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old has been a key player for the La Liga heavyweights, but his future is uncertain with Los Blancos planning to bring in a marquee midfielder.

Spanish journalist Miguel Serrano has revealed that Camavinga does not feature in manager Jose Mourinho’s plans, and Madrid are prepared to part ways with him.

The Rennes graduate has no intention of leaving Los Blancos, but Serrano claims that he could ultimately depart due to the lack of assurance about playing time next term.

Camavinga has played as an emergency left-back for Madrid in the past, but that door has been closed too, with Madrid’s recent acquisition of Marc Cucurella from Chelsea.

Meanwhile, the journalist claims that Camavinga would prefer to join a ‘Big Six’ Premier League outfit aside from Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

He has no intention of entertaining offers elsewhere. Madrid have set an asking price of £52 million. For now, Manchester United are the only club said to be interested.

Arsenal should look into a deal for Camavinga

The Frenchman has been one of the best-performing midfielders in La Liga. His playing time was somewhat reduced last season, particularly under manager Alvaro Arbeloa.

Still, the 23-year-old remains a top-class midfielder as showcased by his statistics. Camavinga completed 92 percent of his passes last season, while winning 63 percent of his duels.

The midfielder won two tackles and made three recoveries per game. He lost possession less than five times per outing. His work rate is one of his main strengths, and former Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti once said that he has ‘an engine of a Ferrari’.

At 23, the left-footed ace is just entering the prime of his career. Camavinga would be a much better signing for Arsenal than Lille’s Ayyoub Bouaddi, given his big-game experience in Europe.

Bouaddi is currently valued at £60m by Lille despite his relatively young age. Camavinga could be prised away for £52m or less, and he appears a no-brainer signing for the Gunners.

Arsenal have had a good working relationship with Madrid in the past. They signed Dani Ceballos twice on loan, while also recruiting Martin Odegaard after a short-term loan deal.
