Arsenal ready to swap Gyokeres for Alvarez

Remarkable news out of Spain suggests Arsenal are ready to offer Viktor Gyokeres and £50million for Julian Alvarez.

The Atletico Madrid is attracting plenty of interest, and is a priority target for Barcelona as they seek a long-term solution in attack.

Barca are closely monitoring developments and would be encouraged by any indication that the striker is willing to leave Madrid. Alvarez is said to favour Barca over other clubs.

But El Chiringuito TV claim that Arsenal have a “done deal” wtih Atleti to pay £50million plus Gyokeres for the forward.

Atleti have told Barca that they will not sell to their Spanish rivals.

Manchester United are working on separate deals to sign West Ham’s Mateus Fernandes and Crysencio Summerville.

The Athletic report United face competition from Tottenham for Fernandes, with West Ham setting an asking price of £80m for the Portuguese youngster.

United also reportedly want Dutch star Summerville, who is valued at £50m.

Michael Carrick is looking to bolster his squad ahead of their return to Champions League football.

Aston Villa lower Rogers asking price

Arsenal have intensified their interest in Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers this week.

Sky Sports report that the Gunners are making the signing of a left-winger a key objective this summer and have been assessing the conditions required to sign the England man.

Villa accept they have little say in keeping Rogers, and are prepared to consider offers in the region of £80m, which is lower than the previously mooted £100m.

Chelsea and Manchester United are also monitoring the situation. No formal talks have taken place between Arsenal and Villa.

Arsenal set Calafiori asking price

Riccardo Calafiori is unlikely to join Real Madrid this summer after Arsenal placed an £86 million valuation on the Italian defender.

Calafiori has attracted strong interest from the Spanish giants following his impressive debut season in north London.

However, Real Madrid have already spent heavily on their defence, including £52million on Marc Cucurella and are reportedly ready to launch a £78m bid for Manchester City defender Ruben Dias.

Although Ibrahima Konate arrived on a free transfer from Liverpool, his wages add to the club’s financial commitments. Arsenal’s asking price may therefore prove beyond Real Madrid’s remaining transfer budget.

"His availability for upcoming matches will depend on his progress and rehabilitation in the coming days."
