For any second year scholar who has yet to be offered a professional contract, the upcoming campaign is seen as make or break as far as their future with the club is concerned.
That is the situation facing Marley Frohock, with the forward knowing that he must make a significant impact for Arsenal U18s this season.
Now aged 17, Frohock was signed as an U14 player and found the net with regularity as a schoolboy, which included him impressing for the U16s.
However, the striker’s first season as a scholar didn’t go entirely to plan as he made only nine appearances for the U18s, which included just one start.
There were some positives to take from the campaign – Frohock scored his first goal for the U18s against Aston Villa and was also named on the bench for the U19s in the UEFA Youth League.
A hard-working player, Frohock is a good dribbler and frequently makes clever runs while he is also capable of playing on the left wing as well as up front.
Frohock will be determined to hit the ground running in 2026/27 and show that he deserves an extended stay at the club.
