Bayern Munich and Manchester United are two of the biggest clubs in Europe currently and will both compete in the prestigious Champions League next season.
Both clubs have been linked with the same players on multiple occasions so far this summer, a signal of positive intent for both clubs.
United have been linked with a move for Nathaniel Brown previously in an effort to improve the side’s defense but Bayern have also been linked, with the German giants preparing a bid according to the latest reports.
Manchester United have also been linked with a move for Johan Manzambi who recently came off the bench to score twice for Switzerland in their 4-1 victory against Bosnia and Herzegovina in the World Cup.
The midfielder, who plays for Freiburg in the Bundesliga, was a standout for his club in the league, scoring five goals and providing four assists.
Now, Thomas Muller has provided his verdict, urging Bayern to make a move.
Speaking to MagentaTV about Johan Manzambi, Muller stated: “He’s a good player overall. We’ve had him on our list for a while now. For me, he’s someone, and now we can make a headline, that FC Bayern should also consider.
“You can sense his flexibility. You can also sense his carefree attitude. At the same time, you can already see a certain maturity in his actions, in his decision-making, his work ethic.
“He’s now in Freiburg in a team where they really work hard. I think his development is very, very good.
“He’s a player who can play as No.6 he can play as No.8, he can play as No.10. He wears number nine on his back, so maybe we could also market him as a striker!”
Muller’s praise is clear to see from these latest comments. It remains to be seen whether Bayern Munich will make a move in the coming weeks for the midfielder although, whilst the German club weigh up a move, Manchester United could look to move.
