Min-jae Kim is one of many players to be linked with a move to Manchester United this summer as the club continues to improve its squad.
The defender, who plays for Bayern Munich at club level, has attracted renewed interest from the Red Devils according to the latest set of reports.
Kim made 25 appearances for Munich in the Bundesliga last campaign, scoring once whilst also assisting on one occasion.
With links to Manchester United now emerging, and with the transfer window opening, Bayern Munich insider and journalist Christian Falk has provided an update on the situation.
Falk, speaking on the CF Bayern Insider website, confirmed that there is interest from Manchester United. Falk also stated, though, that he believes that a deal is hotter with Juventus in Italy currently.
The journalist did acknowledge that the defender loves his role at the club currently, however, whilst also seeing that if talks do not work out between Juventus and Bayern then talks with United could open.
Min-jae Kim is currently playing for South Korea at the World Cup and has played in both of the country’s groups stage games so far, against Mexico and Czechia respectively.
Interest from Manchester United continues to flourish although, with news of a potential deal forming in Italy, the Red Devils may have to look towards alternative defensive targets to improve the squad.
The club’s defensive picture, especially in the centre-back position, was bleak at times last season with several players, including Lisandro Martinez and Leny Yoro, picking up injuries whilst others were suspended.
It remains to be seen who Manchester United will move for in the transfer window for the position although the club have time on their hands considering the window has only just opened.
