Alisson Becker kept a clean sheet as Brazil moved to the top of its World Cup group by beating Haiti by three goals to nil, though he only had three shots on target to field.

The Liverpool man had a relatively comfortable outing as goals from Matheus Cunha (two) and Vinicius Jr secured the points for Carlo Ancelotti's team. But one moment showed his class in possession when he did a drag-back under pressure from an attacker before calmly passing out to his full-back.

Earlier this summer, Juventus was strongly linked with a transfer move for Alisson. Only a few weeks prior to that, though, Liverpool had triggered a one-year extension on his contract.

Juventus has since moved on to other targets, with talk of an exit for Alisson having died down.

"A feeling of joy for having achieved our objective so far," Alisson said after the Brazil game when he was interviewed about the win.

"Starting tomorrow, we will be concentrating in Scotland. It's important to have excellent preparation; it will be an important game.

"I think individual talents help us, but our focus is on creating a team that can be champions. Our difference is the collective game.

"Not just the players who came in. Whoever plays has to be prepared...

"For those who analyzed the match, when we made it 3-0, Haiti opened up more and made it a little more difficult for us. We had some chances, but it's good enough. We set out to do this today, and the most important thing is the victory.

"An excellent performance, a very solid game from the team. We played the game we needed to play.

"Collectively, we managed to neutralize the opponent. We came away without conceding any goals, which was very important for us."

Liverpool.com says: Keeping Alisson is a no-brainer. The Reds have enough to do this summer without adding finding a replacement for the Brazilian to the list.

Last season, he missed lots of games through injury, with Giorgi Mamardashvili stepping in. Even if that is the same next term, it is worth persevering with for another 12 months.
