Brazil and Atalanta midfielder Ederson said his proposed move to Premier League giants Manchester United is “almost done”.
Ederson has been tipped to swap Serie A outfit Atalanta for United in a deal reportedly worth $65million AUD as Michael Carrick looks to strengthen his midfield for the 2026-27 season.
Widespread reports claim a deal has already been agreed for the 26-year-old, who is on FIFA World Cup duty with the Selecao in North America.

After coming off the bench in Brazil’s 3-0 win over Haiti in Group C, Ederson was asked about his future.
“I have to wait. Now I have to enjoy this moment, then we will see,” he told Sky Italia afterwards.
“Certainly, everything is almost done, but now I to enjoy this moment. This is a wonderful experience and you have to enjoy the most.”

Ederson is set to represent the first signing of the Carrick era at Old Trafford, where the Red Devils finished third to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
The Brazilian joined Atalanta from Salernitana in 2022, having played for Cruzeiro, Corinthians and Fortaleza in his homeland.
Last season, Ederson featured in 41 matches across all competitions, scoring three goals and supplying two assists, including a goal in the UEFA Champions League.
After making his Brazil debut in a friendly against Mexico in June 2024, he has four caps.
