Jerry Jeudy’s Future in Cleveland Suddenly Questioned Amid Browns Youth Movement

Jerry Jeudy delivered a Pro Bowl season just two years ago. Now, questions are already surfacing about whether he’ll finish the 2026 campaign with theCleveland Browns.

During a recent appearance with Spencer German and Earl Da Pearl on 92.3 The Fan, CBS Sports analyst Chris Edwards suggested the Browns’ ongoing youth movement could eventually make Jeudy expendable.

Cleveland has worked hard to retool the team’s offense by adding young players through the 2026 NFL Draft, picking wide receivers KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston right at the start of the draft after Isaiah Bond last year.

It seems that such additions have made Edwards speculate whether the Browns will part ways with their veteran receiver.

“Are we sure that Jerry Jeudy is even going to get through this full season as a member of the Browns? I could absolutely see them saying, ‘hey, let’s go with KC Concepcion, Denzel Boston, Isaiah Bond’… I do think that there’s a world where Jeudy is made available whether it’s before the season or midseason.”

This follows an underwhelming performance by Jeudy in 2025. After breaking franchise marks with 90 catches and 1,229 receiving yards in his Pro Bowl season in 2024, the former first-round pick was only able to secure 50 catches, for 602 yards and two touchdowns last season.

Issues with drops were a major problem for Jeudy, who was unable to develop chemistry because of constant quarterback changes for the Browns. However, the Browns showed no hint that they were considering letting go.

General Manager Andrew Berry dismissed the talk post-draft, claiming that signing Concepcion and Boston had “zero impact” on the plan for Jeudy.

Jeudy himself reiterated this claim throughout the OTA process, stating that he has been working hard on concentration exercises to avoid the drops that occurred in 2025.

At age 27, Jeudy still appears to be the best receiver of the Browns.

However, with the Browns investing heavily in younger pass catchers and potentially eyeing a long-term rebuild, his spot atop the depth chart could face more competition than ever before.
