Growing up in a single-parent family, Carter said that Tonique Brown paved the way for him to do everything he has done, both on and off the field.

“Everything you have seen me do so far, my mom has been the main objective for it… she is doing what a good mother should do.”

For Carter, those words were not just a standard thank you but reflected years of sacrifice that often go unseen.

Brown raised Carter while making sure he stayed focused on school, football, and giving back to others. Before he was ever drafted in the first round, he had experience working at his mother’s daycare in Florida, which greatly influenced how he views his platform.

In the last year alone, he has arranged several food drives for Thanksgiving, worked with community organizations along with the Eagles, and has been participating in activities that help struggling families. Carter constantly claims that all these values were imparted to him by his mother, who taught him that success has little value when it cannot be shared.

It comes at a very important time in Carter’s career, as after helping the Eagles win Super Bowl LIX, he has become regarded as one of the best interior defenders in the league and a future face of the franchise.

Regardless of all this recognition, Carter made it clear that it does not belong to him exclusively.

All his achievements, whether it be the draft day or the Lombardi Trophy, all have their origin in the person who was always there before any recognition.
