New coach(s), new line, new receivers, new playbook. It is going to take the better part of a season to figure this all out. This is a young team and it makes sense to put Watson out there to start the season due to his experience if nothing else. There is no urgent need to bring in another kid to twiddle his thumbs for a year when a cornucopia of young talent to choose from is coming in 2027.... Allegedly.
Blocking assignments will be missed. Wrong receiver routes will be run. Mistakes will be made. I know, next year mentality sucks, but it is where we are. In the end, Support your local QB (whether you like him or not).
