Manchester United’s goalkeeping situation is one filled with uncertainty as the transfer window begins to take shape.

Senne Lammens has just finished his first full season at the club since joining last summer and appears to have claimed the number one spot ahead of next season.

Below him, however, speculation remains. Altay Bayindir was the club’s primary choice for a back-up goalkeeper last season although Andre Onana and Radek Vitek have now returned from their respective loan spells at Trabzonspor and Bristol City.

Onana’s short-term future is as uncertain as ever as clubs look at the goalkeeper as a potential option. Trabzonspor have previously submitted a bid for the shot-stopper although whether he will complete a permanent move to Turkiye remains to be seen.

Vitek, on the other hand, won the Player of the Year award with Bristol City in the Championship last season and kept 12 clean sheets in 41 league appearances.

He returned to Old Trafford following this loan spell although question marks have arisen over his future.

Alan Nixon now reports that Manchester United will sell Radek Vitek in this summer’s transfer window although want a fee of £10m for him.

Nixon also states that there is a lot of Championship interest surrounding the 22-year-old following his performances last season with United choosing now as the moment to cash in.

Vitek is waiting for offers from interested parties and, with a reasonable demand, the goalkeeper could likely to be sold this summer.

The former Bristol City player is reaching a crucial time in his career and his next move could be pivotal in dictating where next season takes him.

It remains to be seen which Championship teams are interested in the 22-year-old as the summer transfer window nears the end of its first week.
