Yan Diomande has been linked with a move to Manchester United this summer with the winger emerging as one of the club’s primary targets.
The Ivory Coast international, currently playing at the World Cup in North America, scored 12 goals and provided eight assists in the Bundesliga last season for RB Leipzig.
These performances, alongside those that he has displayed on the international stage, have attracted the interest of many top clubs across Europe.
Leipzig recently rejected a €100m bid for Diomande from Liverpool with the Reds now expected to come back with a new and improved offer worth €115m.
Manchester United have now yet made a move although the winger recently shared photos of himself in a Red Devils shirt in a touching tribute.
Now, with bids coming in, BILD have revealed that Paris Saint Germain have been in the conversation with representatives from Diomande’s agency in the last few weeks.
The outlet also stated that the recent Champions League winners are seriously considering making a move and are expected to submit an offer to RB Leipzig.
It is likely that if this was to occur, a bidding war between Liverpool and PSG could begin over the winger.
The sporting management team at Leipzig are committed to keeping Diomande for at least next season, according to BILD, a move that could seriously help the club compete at the very top of the Bundesliga.
The outlet also revealed that, as a sign of appreciation, his salary is set to increase with this estimated to be around €2m per year.
Manchester United’s chances of signing Yan Diomande currently appear bleak with Liverpool and PSG appearing to be the two main competitors currently.
With this in mind, the club could turn towards other, more realistic, transfer targets.
