The Kansas City Chiefs quickly sent a message to Jack Cochrane following his engagement announcement on Friday. The Super Bowl-winning linebacker and soccer player Regan Steigleder got engaged while on vacation in Italy.
Cochrane and Steigleder are a beloved sports power couple in Kansas City. They captured the hearts of local fans by bridging two of the city’s professional sports franchises.
Cochrane anchors the special teams for the Chiefs, while Steigleder formerly played defense for the Kansas City Current. The two frequently attended each other’s games and swapped jerseys to support one another. Those supportive gestures were a hit among local fans.

Steigleder shared the newson Instagram, posting several photos and a video of the romantic proposal in Portofino.
In the clip, Cochrane gets down on one knee and presents Steigleder with a ring while aboard a boat. The soccer defender laughs, nods in approval, and accepts the ring from the 27-year-old linebacker.
The happy couple then shared a heartfelt hug and a kiss to celebrate the special moment.
“Yes duh,” the 27-year-old bride-to-be wrote in the caption.
The Chiefs joined fans in celebrating the couple’s milestone by leaving a congratulatory message in the comments.
“Congratulations you guys ❤️❤️,” the team wrote.
While they keep their exact anniversary date private, the pair has made public appearances together since 2025. In June of that year, theyattended the wedding of Cochrane’s teammate Mike Caliendo.
In September 2025, the couple caught fans’ attention by pulling offa jersey swap at Arrowhead Stadium. Cochrane sported a teal Current jersey, while Steigleder wore a Chiefs jersey bearing his number.
Steigleder left the Current as a free agent following the 2025 NWSL season. She signed with Lexington Sporting Club in the Gainbridge Super League in January. She capped her first season with Lexington by earning the league’sFinal MVP award in May.
Meanwhile, Cochrane returns for his fifth season with Kansas City after re-signing a one-year deal in March. He joined the Chiefs in 2022 and has since earnedtwo Super Bowl rings.
