Liverpool transfer target Yan Diomande has suggested he would be open to a Premier League move this summer. The RB Leipzig winger says his representatives are managing the relevant particulars while he concentrates on performing at the World Cup with Ivory Coast.
Liverpool recently submitted a bid worth around £86m for the 19-year-old, but it was rejected out of hand. The Bundesliga outfit are believed to be holding firm for closer to £112m and are hesitant to sanction a deal for a player they are eager to secure on fresh terms. Diomande's country were beaten by Germany on Saturday evening in Toronto as Denis Undav struck twice to overturn Franck Kessie's opening goal.
Diomande, who made way for former Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe in the second period, spoke to beIN Sports earlier this week and indicated his future would be settled following the World Cup.
"Would I be open to the Premier League? I don't know," Diomande said.
"I am an RB Leipzig player, but why not? My agents will sort that out.
"As for me I am more focused on the World Cup, that's the most important thing.
"It doesn't happen all the time, it's only every four years, so I am making the most of it and for the rest, we'll see."
Speaking earlier this week, Ivory Coast manager Emerse Fae dismissed speculation surrounding Diomande.
He joked: "When we were in France, during the preparation, journalists told me he was about to sign with PSG.
"Here (in the United States), they tell me he's about to sign with Liverpool.
"I don't know, but for now, he will focus on the World Cup, and then afterwards, he can think about the rest of his career."
Diomande is set to feature as Ivory Coast round off their World Cup group stage campaign against Curacao on Thursday.
