Arsenal have reportedly reached a broad personal agreement with Monga, with the young winger having made clear that the Emirates is where he wants to continue his development.
BBC Sport’s Sami Mokbel reported that while the player’s preference is firmly established, completing the deal with Leicester represents the remaining hurdle.
“I think there is a little bit to go for Monga to become an Arsenal player, but I’m pretty certain he will be one by the start of pre-season, certainly in the coming weeks,” Mokbel said.
The total fee is expected to fall between £10 million and £15 million, a figure that reflects both Monga’s remarkable ceiling and Leicester’s leverage as a selling club unwilling to be rushed into an undervalued transaction.
Mikel Arteta’s reputation for integrating elite teenage talent into a structured first-team environment has been central to the player’s attraction to north London, a pathway that will feel tangible given what the Spaniard has built at the club in recent years.
