A win would see Thomas Tuchel’s side top the group with a game to spare, and he’ll be looking to fix the defensive vulnerabilities that saw his side concede twice in their 4-2 opening win against Croatia.

The 19-year-old sensation was in fine form for the Ivory Coast in their World Cup clash against Germany on Saturday, and a fresh report from Team Talk claims Liverpool are “growing increasingly confident” that they can get the deal done, despite already reportedly having a huge offer worth around £90m turned down.
The report goes on to claim that the player himself is highly interested in moving to Merseyside, and that Iraola is equally keen to get the deal done. It’s also suggested that Leipzig will want an overall package worth close to £130m, and noted that a potential hijack from Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain can’t be ruled out.

Next up, it’s over to Old Trafford, where Manchester United will be looking to continue their impressive upward trajectory under Michael Carrick next season. Their summer transfer mission has been to overhaul their creaking midfield, and they’ve already agreed a deal for Brazil international Ederson as part one of the process.
Part two looks like it could be arriving in the form of West Ham United’s Mateus Fernandes, who looks certain to leave the club following their relegation from the Premier League last season. A new story from Football Insider claims that the Red Devils have now agreed personal terms with the 21-year-old, who is said to have an £80m asking price.
The report says that Man United will look to haggle down the Irons, knowing that they’re under pressure to sell. It’s suggested that United are confident of now reaching an agreement with West Ham - this has been helped by Spurs’ switch in focus to Tonali, which should ensure a ‘bidding war’ for Fernandes isn’t triggered.
The 3AM Verdict: Man United wasted no time getting Ederson in, and Fernandes would be another high quality midfield option for Carrick’s side. He looked a class above the vast majority of West Ham’s squad next season, and has the potential to be an exceptional Premier League player for years to come.

To bring us to a close, we’ll nip down to north London, where Premier League champions Arsenal are already dreaming of retaining that title. One area the club are keen to strengthen this summer is the left wing, and PSG gem Bradley Barcola, who scored in France’s 3-1 win over Senegal last week, is rumoured to be of great interest.
Caught Offside report that the Gunners are ready to make a bid close to £70m to sign the 23-year-old, who has two years left on his current contract. The report says that there’s currently a gap in player valuation, however, with PSG wanting around £85m to consider a sale. He’s said to be in contract talks with his current club, but could look to leave in order to play more first team football.
The 3AM Verdict: PSG are one of those sides who have just too many good players to cram into one team. A player of Barcola’s potential won’t want to be spending too many matches sitting around on the sidelines. He’d be a starter at Arsenal straight away, and they should move quickly to sign him to avoid facing too many rivals for his signature.
