Drawing a clear line in the sand over West Ham’s transfer business this summer, one of the first public utterances by majority shareholder Daniel Kretinsky was to confirm that West Ham United’s financial dark days are behind them with his ‘ we don’t need to sell players‘ pronouncement.
Behind the scents West Ham’s de facto leader has been contacting key players and telling them that the club wants to retain their services- and that list includes skipper Jarrod Bowen who, it has been reported, will be the sole Hammer whose wages won’t be subject to the 50% relegation clause.
That hasn’t stopped former Manager David Moyes getting all hot under the collar about a reunion with Bowen at Everton, according to the4thofficial.net, who claim:
“Moyes is currently badgering the Goodison Park hierarchy to sanction a concrete £20 million opening bid for the versatile forward.”
Which is likely to fail to impress the billionaire in West Ham’s boardroom. Bowen has been earmarked as key to West Ham’s bounce back to the Premier League and despite Bowen’s age at 29, he’s under contract until the summer of 2030.

Jarrod Bowen gives West Ham fans the thumbs up
West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen is a wanted man – but for twenty mill?
Twenty million might not be laughed at outright, but it’ll more than likely get the brush off – if it even gets a response out of West Ham HQ just now.
Once the Fernandes deal is completed it is probable that West Ham will look to organise departures and replacement of unwanted players only – and Bowen is certainly not in that category.
