Declan Rice’s influence continues to grow on the international stage, with England teammate Elliot Anderson revealing that the Arsenal midfielder is now one of the players he admires most.
Anderson made the admission while discussing the footballers who have helped shape his development during England’s World Cup campaign.
The midfielder highlighted Rice’s performances for both club and country and explained that he regularly studies the Arsenal star’s game.
Although the pair operate in slightly different midfield roles, Anderson believes there is plenty he can learn from one of England’s most important players.
“I’m going to say Dec,” Anderson said. “I love him as a player and I like to watch him and take things from his game.”

The midfielder believes the England manager’s communication style has helped players perform with greater freedom during the World Cup.
Rather than placing additional pressure on the squad, Anderson feels Tuchel has encouraged players to trust themselves and express their abilities.
“He freed a lot of the boys up to just go out there and feel at ease and believe in yourself,” Anderson explained.
