Liverpool is reportedly working on a deal for Andria Bartishvili.
The 17-year-old broke through in the Georgian topflight this season, making double‑digit appearances and scoring his first senior goal in a 1-0 win over Gagra
He is regarded as one of the brightest prospects to emerge from Georgia in recent years.
The attacking midfielder currently on loan at Georginan side FC Iberia 1999 from parent club Kolkheti 1913.
Comfortable playing as a 10 or drifting in from the left, the 170cm playmaker is known for his tight close control, sharp changes of direction and ability to beat defenders in one‑v‑one situations, which has already earned him comparisons back home with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
What makes Bartishvili’s situation particularly interesting is the contractual position he finds himself in.
His loan at Iberia 1999 runs until the end of 2026, at which point he returns to Kolkheti Poti.
Hower, his deal with the parent club also expires then, meaning he could be available on a free transfer or for a minimal compensation fee.
Arsenal is reportedly preparing a pre-contract offer specifically to exploit that window, hoping to secure him on a Bosman-style deal before anyone else can force the issue.
Now reliable Georgian insider “Geo Team” on X has reported that Liverpool, Arsenal, and Paris FC are working on a deal for Bartishvili:
“Andria Bartishvili hasn’t reached an agreement with Arsenal over a transfer at the moment 3 clubs are working on a deal for the player – Arsenal FC, Liverpool FC, and Paris FC.”
“Identical offers from English giants, Paris FC are trying to convince Bartishvili by offering guaranteed first-team playing time from the outset.”
“Understand, Bartishvili and his representatives will make a final decision after the upcoming European qualification matches, which he is set to play with FC Iberia 1999.”
It has been reported that Arsenal would be willing to pay £2m for the teenager, so that is likely a reference point to what he could end up costing.
