Marcus Rashford has been added to Tottenham Hotspur's transfer wish-list. Rashford impressed for England in their World Cup victory over Croatia, but he is in limbo when it comes to club football.
He was hoping to remain at Barcelona, where he spent last season on loan, but they chose to sign Anthony Gordon instead of making Rashford's move permanent. The forward is now back to being a Manchester United player but he is not expected to remain at Old Trafford.
However, Tottenham, who have signed Andrew Robertson, Marco Senesi and Jan Paul van Hecker, are understood to be willing to match the £40million release clause in his contract at United.

According to the i Paper, Tottenham are willing to meet this figure to wrap up a deal for Rashford. However, the England ace may not be as enthusiastic about moving to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as it's also claimed he would prefer to move abroad.
Bayern Munich have also been credited with an interest in the United academy graduate. Aston Villa are also understood to be a contender after he enjoyed a relatively successful loan spell between January and June 2025.

While Barcelona were not willing to meet the £26m option to buy clause they had in their deal, they have purportedly flirted the idea of loaning him again. United are believed to have no interest in sending Rashford on loan, stating they would prefer to sell him permanently.
Spurs manager Roberto De Zerbi is believed to be a huge admirer of Rashford's quality. The Englishman's direct running and aggressiveness would also make him a natural fit for De Zerbi's intense style of play.

Tottenham are focusing on Premier League proven players to transform their team this season. After coming so close to relegation last season, they are trying to wrap up their transfer business quickly.
Senesi and Robertson have arrived as free agents, while Van Hecke will set the club back £52m. Rashford is someone who fits the mould of Premier League proven, even though he played in La Liga last season.

During his temporary spell at the Nou Camp, he helped himself to 14 goals and 14 assists in 49 appearances for the Catalans. Last season, Spurs struggled for goals, only scoring 48 goals in 38 Premier League matches.
