Arsenal continue to monitor FC Midtjylland winger Dario Osorio, with the Danish club aware of the Gunners’ long-standing interest in the highly-rated Chile international.
The 22-year-old enjoyed another productive campaign in Denmark last season, registering eight goals and 10 assists across all competitions to further enhance his growing reputation.
Arsenal were credited with interest in Osorio last summer, although no formal move materialised before the transfer window closed.
That interest has not disappeared and Midtjylland technical director Kristian Kjaer has now confirmed that the Premier League champions are among several English clubs tracking the winger’s development.
Speaking about Osorio’s future, Kjaer revealed that Arsenal have continued to follow the Chilean closely, while other Premier League sides are also keeping tabs on his progress.
“We know that Arsenal have been looking into Osorio,” Kjaer said.
The versatile attacker is capable of operating on either flank and is widely regarded as one of the most exciting talents currently playing outside Europe’s traditional top-five leagues.
Kjaer believes Osorio possesses the attributes needed to thrive in English football, highlighting his pace, work ethic and ability to contribute at both ends of the pitch.
“In my opinion, he serves the Premier League very, very good because he has a hard-working mentality,” he explained.
The Midtjylland chief also compared the winger to former Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez, a player who became one of the Premier League’s most influential attackers during his time in north London.
“He has the full package, seen as the next Alexis Sanchez in Chile,” Kjaer added.
Arsenal are expected to strengthen their attacking options this summer despite winning the Premier League title last season.
The club have been linked with several wide forwards as Mikel Arteta looks to build on domestic success and challenge again in Europe.
Osorio’s profile appears to fit the type of player Arsenal have targeted in recent years, combining technical quality with versatility and a strong work rate.
The Chile international has also attracted interest from elsewhere, with Liverpool previously linked and several Premier League clubs believed to have scouted him throughout the campaign.
Midtjylland have developed a reputation for identifying and nurturing young talent before selling players to Europe’s biggest leagues, and they appear prepared for significant interest in Osorio this summer.
While no official bid has yet arrived from Arsenal, the Danish side are understood to be waiting to see whether the Gunners decide to turn their long-standing admiration into a concrete offer.
For now, Osorio remains a player firmly on Arsenal’s radar as Arteta and sporting director Andrea Berta continue shaping their plans for the new season.
