Brandon Aiyuk’s situation with the San Francisco 49ers has taken another turn.
On Sunday, Aiyuk took to social media in what appeared to be a typical Father’s Day post. The Niners wide receiver has one son, 5-year-old Braylon, with his wife, Rochelle Searight.
In his post, Aiyuk shared how he had a “great Father’s Day.” However, the plot twist came after he decided to shout out the Washington Commanders to end the video.
“Before I lay down and go to bed tonight, I just wanted to say go Commanders!” he stated. “Go Commanders, man. Raise hell, man. Take him in. [Expletive] you talking about?”

Fans raise concern over Brandon Aiyuk’s 49ers situation
The last time Aiyuk saw action for San Francisco was on Oct. 20, 2024, when he suffered a torn ACL and MCL in his right knee. The former Arizona State star has since been out of action rehabbing his major injury. Aiyuk missed the entire 2025 season as he continues to recover.
In November, the 49ers decided to void the guaranteed money in Aiyuk’s contract for 2026. This ultimately led to reports linking Aiyuk to a move away from San Francisco.
The Commanders have emerged as a potential landing spot for Aiyuk, either via trade or if the Niners waive his contract ahead of the new season. However, his recent social media activity has raised serious concerns among fans.
