Every summer, the Dutch town of Breda plays host to a youth football tournament – the TSC International Tournament.
The Under-13 competition brings together some of Europe’s most prestigious academy sides, with clubs like Ajax, AC Milan, PSG, Bayer Leverkusen, and Schalke 04 all sending their brightest prospects to compete across two days of football.
The 2026 edition, held on June 20 and 21, was no different and once again, Liverpool’s academy was firmly in the conversation.
And it was one of Liverpool’s players who stole the entire tournament’s spotlight.
Liverpool U13 striker Ade Adediran put on a jaw-dropping individual display across the competition, racking up over 20 goal contributions in just nine matches.
The young forward combined goals with assists, pace, and a maturity beyond his years to play a decisive role in Liverpool’s campaign throughout the event.
By the end of the final day, there was only one possible outcome for the individual awards – Adediran was named Player of the Tournament, collecting the golden boot trophy in front of a packed crowd.
The TSC International Tournament Instagram page hailed Adediran for his showing, posting an image of him with the award and writing:
“What a tournament from Ade Adediran!”
“The Liverpool striker was simply unstoppable, combining goals, assists, pace, and creativity throughout the competition. With more than 20 goal contributions in just 9 matches, he played a decisive role in his team’s success and entertained fans every time he stepped onto the pitch.”
“A true difference-maker and a deserved Player of the Tournament.”
It certainly bodes well for Liverpool and their academy, with the academy site at Kirkby set to undergo a £20m training ground revamp by 2028.
Unfortunately, his performances were not enough to win the competition for Liverpool. Ajax and PAOK FC played the final on Sunday afternoon, with the Greek side emerging victorious on the day.
