The Jets are hoping to turn the page after a brutal 2025 season, with QB Geno Smith critical to those hopes.
While Smith struggled with turnovers in a dismal season at the helm of the Raiders' offense, the veteran's return to New York could represent an upgrade after a Justin Fields-led quarterback room flopped for the Jets last year.
As the offseason presses on, however, Smith is in the headlines for more than just football.
Here's what you need to know about the allegations Smith is facing.

Geno Smith allegations
A woman took to Instagram to accuse Smith of attacking her and neglecting his child.
"GENO SMITH beat my a— cause he HATES taking care of his special needs kid and can't be left alone with him," the woman said, claiming the Jets QB would rather "play Call of Duty."
The original post included a video of the two arguing, and another post calls Smith a "demon."
While all posts have since been deleted, the woman followed up Monday morning with another Instagram story accusing Smith of refusing to turn over "home security footage" to police.
"One thing you guys aren't gonna do is bash me on this internet and call [me] a liar," she said.
Smith hasn't responded to the claims, nor have the Jets. Here's more to know about Smith's family.

Who is Geno Smith's baby mama?
The allegations against Smith were posted by a woman named Kristen, but not much else is known about her identity. It's also unclear whether the child referenced by Kristen is actually hers. She refers to the child as "his," so it's possible the two are in a relationship unrelated to Smith's child.
Who is Geno Smith's wife?
It's also unclear whether Smith has even been married. While the internet has speculated that he might have gotten married in 2015, there is no evidence he is married at this point or ever was married.
Geno Smith children
Smith has at least one child named Seven Santana Smith, who was born in 2019. It isn't clear whether Seven is the child Kristen is referring to, but Smith posted about his son on his Instagram story for Father's Day on the same day she posted the allegations.
Seven takes his name from his father's longtime jersey number.
