The Cleveland Browns came into the 2026 NFL Draft with a huge need for wide receiver help, and they added two receivers in the first two rounds.
KC Concepcion was their first round pick, while Denzel Boston was taken a little late in the first few picks of the second-round on Day 2 of the NFL Draft. Both have impressed already for the Browns, but one stands out with a good NFL comparison.
As Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated reports, Browns rookie WR Boston received a lofty comparison to Carolina Panthers standout rookie Tetairoa McMillan from those within the Browns facility.
Browns' Denzel Boston compared to Tetairoa McMillan
"He's already earned the trust of the team's three quarterbacks, runs better than you'd expect of a guy his size and, coming out of the same college offense Tetairoa McMillan did a year ago, he has drawn internal comparison to the young Panthers star," Breer writes.
McMillan is 6-foot-5, 212 pounds, and won the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year with 70 receptions for 1,014 yards and seven touchdowns for Carolina a year ago.
Boston is 6-foot-4, 209 pounds, so while he's a little bit smaller than McMillan, the comparison is an apt one, as he has a similar playstyle thanks to his bigger size.

Alongside Concepcion, Boston is bound to see plenty of playing time during the 2026 season for the Browns as one of the top receivers on the team.
While his quarterback isn't known yet, with the Deshaun Watson and Sheduer Sanders quarterback battle still not over, Boston is sure to be a heavily involved WR for the Browns based on this strong first impression.
After a fantastic 2025 NFL Draft class, the Browns might've made a few high-quality picks the next year, with Boston already impressing and drawing comparisons to the 2025 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
