OT JACK DRISCOLL

Experience/age: sixth season, 29

Contract status: $1.26 million cap hit in 2026; signed to a one-year contract

The past: Driscoll joined the Steelers practice squad in October and got elevated to the active roster in December but saw no game action.

A fourth-round draft pick by the Eagles in 2020, Driscoll played 67 games with 18 starts over five seasons in Philadelphia. He played both guard and tackle for the Eagles. The 6-foot-5, 312-pound Driscoll was part of Super Bowl teams in 2022 and ‘24. He played five special teams snaps in a loss to the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII. Two years later, he was on IR with an ankle injury when the Eagles won the rematch in Super Bowl LIX.

He played 300 or more snaps in a season three times. His busiest year was 2021, when the versatile lineman started nine games at right guard as a second-year pro. He drew average marks that season from Pro Football Focus, which ranked him 64th among offensive linemen with at least 500 snaps. PFF analytics graded him better as a pass blocker (44th) than a run blocker (105th) that year.

2026 outlook: Driscoll spent parts of the 2024 and ’25 seasons on practice squads. That remains an option again this year for Driscoll, but Broderick Jones’ neck injury could open the door for him or another offense tackle to start the season on the active roster. Jones is still recovering from surgery, leaving the Steelers somewhat thin at the position behind Troy Fautanu, Dylan Cook and first-round draft pick Max Iheanachor. Driscoll and Lorenzo Thompson, who has no regular-season experience, are the only other tackles on the current roster.

Over his career, Driscoll has played the majority of his snaps at right tackle (892), compared to 551 at right guard and 150 at left tackle. He was elevated from the Steelers practice squad last December after tackle Calvin Anderson landed on IR. Driscoll joined the team for the final four regular season games last season. The Steelers released Anderson in March, and another backup tackle, Andrus Peat, left via free agency.
