Mike Tomlin took a several-year break from joint practices later in his tenure before holding them with the Buffalo Bills and Tampa Bay Buccaneers over his final two seasons. Mike McCarthy is passing on the opportunity this time around.

The Steelers are one of just four teams that do not have a joint practice on the schedule. The Kansas City Chiefs, Detroit Lions, and Denver Broncos are also keeping things in-house. Notably, the Broncos, Steelers, and Chiefs have three of the most veteran coaches in the league right now. Several franchises are holding joint practices with multiple teams this summer.
